ASIAL offers Corporate, Provisional Corporate, Associate, Affiliate and Individual type memberships.

Corporate Membership

  • Corporate membership is for those Companies, and enterprises, which are substantially engaged in the provision of security products or services to the community for reward and as such are involved in the Private Security Industry or are otherwise required to be a member of an ‘approved security industry association’ or ‘approved security industry organisation’ for the purposes of obtaining a security license under a law of any Australian jurisdiction.
  • Applicants from companies that have been in business in the security industry for less than two years should apply for Provisional Corporate membership. Membership application and renewal fees are the same for Full Corporate and Provisional Corporate members.

Associate Membership

Those Companies and enterprises, which are involved in the security industry but which are not engaged in the provision of security products or services and /or if so engaged, do not do so to the community for reward should apply for Associate membership. Industry sectors represented in this category include utilities, financial institutions, transport, aviation, and clubs.

Affiliate Membership

Any company, enterprise or individual person whether in Australia or overseas not being eligible for Corporate, Associate or Individual Membership may apply for and may be awarded Affiliate Membership.

Individual Membership

This is an information-only service, available to any individual involved in the security industry.
Individual Membership includes access to member-only resources and event discounts, regular email newsletters, and subscription to Security Insider Magazine.

First Year Fee (inc. application fee and GST) $152

Please note:

  • Individual membership does not satisfy security licensing requirements and not suitable for corporations needing to hold to hold a company security licence.
  • The Individual Membership fee is non-refundable and includes a one-off non-refundable application fee of $36.
