1. How do I obtain a certificate of currency for Public Liability Insurance or Workers Compensation?

Many insurance brokers will offer these types of insurance. We always suggest that you obtain at least two quotations to ensure you are getting a competitive price.

2. I am just starting a new company. How do I work out what fee to pay?
|
You should be able to forecast your businesses turnover for your first year of operation. A Small Business Toolkit is available for purchase from ASIAL’s online store to help you with your planning needs.

3. I am just starting a new company. How do I obtain a trade reference?
|
In this case a reference from a previous employer is acceptable.
|
4. What is the difference between Provisional Corporate and full Corporate membership?
|
Provisional Corporate members are unable to use the ASIAL logo on advertising material and are not eligible to vote at Annual General Meetings.

5. How long will my membership application take to be approved?
|
Once all supporting documentation is received your application will typically be processed in approximately 5 – 10 working days.
|
6. If I am a sole trader can I apply for Individual membership?
|
No. Individual membership is an information only service offered by ASIAL and does not meet business licensing requirements. Regardless of business type, you must apply for Corporate membership.

7. I am having trouble completing some questions on the application form and/or providing documentation. Is there anyone who can assist me?
