Anti-discrimination and equal opportunity
|
State / Territory Legislation
|
All States and Territories have legislation regarding discrimination and equal opportunity. There are naturally differences between them, but in general terms, the areas they cover include:
• gender
• age
• nationality, ethnicity or race
• marital status
• sexual preference
• religious beliefs
• disability (physical or mental).
|
Please take into consideration the legislation applying to the state or territory in which you are operating.
You can find further information about legislation, and the regulations that flow from the legislation, on the AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) website, a joint facility of UTS and UNSW Faculties of Law.
